In one disc all the three symphonies of Borodin, illegitimate child of Prince Gedianishvili, remained faithful to the world of science as professor of organic chemistry. Only his scarce spare time was left for music.
Seven years to achieve the Symphony in B minor, This in A minor was completed November 1877 but part of the score was ‘lost’. Finally it was reconstructed and orchestrated by Glazunov under Rimsky-Korsakov’s supervision. A trilogy waiting his definitive reputation.
